delivery of the watercolor Ibbetson at Malmaison

The July 25, 2010, I had expressed the desire of the new Jean-Paul Mayeux to donate the watercolor of the flats of the entourage Napoleon at Longwood in 1821 by Ibbetson.

The surrender of the beautifully restored and framed watercolor at the expense of the donor was formalized January 10, 2011 in the office of Mr. Amaury Lefebure, Director National Museum of the castle of Malmaison and Bois-Courtyard.

In addition to the Conservatives who work at the Musée du Château de Malmaison and Bois-Awning, were present at the ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Society and Friends of Malmaison Foundation Napoleon

On this occasion, we had a galette des Rois ...

I'm really appreciative of the approach of John Paul Mayeux (at right in photo below): buy a historical document for the sole purpose to bring in the collections of national heritage is just amazing, not to say "great."
